Recipe FAQs

What type of cocoa powder works best?

Unsweetened cocoa powder provides the deep chocolate flavor and rich color essential for these squares.

Can I use a different sugar?

A blend of granulated and light brown sugar balances sweetness and moisture, contributing to the fudgy texture.

How to know when brownies are done?

Insert a toothpick into the center; a few moist crumbs indicate perfect doneness without overbaking.
